Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) Seed Oil

A nutrient-rich botanical oil that helps soothe and nourish the skin, support the moisture barrier, provide antioxidant protection, and promote a calmer, smoother, healthier-looking complexion.

Key Benefits

  • Nourishes and softens skin
  • Supports the moisture barrier
  • Provides antioxidant support
  • Helps calm stressed-looking skin
  • Complements blemish-care routines

How It Works

The triglyceride fraction spreads over the stratum corneum, lubricating dry cells and helping slow moisture loss. Linoleic and oleic acids make up much of the oil's fatty-acid profile.

Thymoquinone and other minor constituents can scavenge reactive species and influence inflammatory pathways in laboratory systems. A randomized trial of a thymoquinone-standardized Nigella hydrogel reported improvements in acne measures, but the vehicle and standardized preparation matter.

The appropriate cosmetic interpretation is barrier conditioning and antioxidant-supportive soothing. It should not replace proven acne treatment or medical care.

What does it do in skincare?
It helps nourish, soften, and support moisture retention while supplying minor antioxidant compounds such as thymoquinone.
