What It Is

AmideRepair™ Advance is ELVIS+ELVIN’s broad-spectrum multi-ceramide barrier technology. Its disclosed composition contains five ceramide classes—NP, AP, EOP, NS and NG—giving it the widest ceramide diversity of the three AmideRepair™ variants.

The system also includes phytosphingosine, a long-chain base related to naturally occurring skin sphingolipids; phytosterols, which provide plant-derived sterol conditioning; and hydrogenated lecithin, a phospholipid-rich material that supports lipid dispersion and organization.

Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate and dipropylene glycol function as formulation aids. Although the complex supplies several skin-relevant lipid types, no exact skin-identical ratio should be assumed unless separately supported by technical specifications.

The number of classes alone does not determine performance; their levels, ratios and the finished emulsion also matter.

What does phytosphingosine add to the complex?

Phytosphingosine is a long-chain base related to naturally occurring sphingolipids and forms part of the structural backbone of certain ceramides. In this cosmetic complex, it complements the five preformed ceramides and supports surface conditioning and barrier-focused formulation. It should not be described as causing the skin to manufacture a guaranteed amount of new ceramide without direct testing.
