What is Plantide™ Glow?
Plantide™ Glow is an ELVIS+ELVIN proprietary radiance complex containing Centaurea cyanus callus lysate extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9 and ascorbic acid. The blend combines plant-cell biotechnology, two cosmetic peptides and antioxidant vitamin C in a humectant base. It is designed for dull, tired or environmentally stressed-looking skin.
Are living plant cells present in Plantide™ Glow?
No. Centaurea cyanus callus lysate is processed material obtained by breaking down cultured cornflower callus cells. It supplies a water-compatible botanical fraction, but the cells are not alive and do not integrate into human skin.
What role does vitamin C play in the complex?
Ascorbic acid provides antioxidant support and can help improve the appearance of radiance and uneven tone. Its performance depends strongly on the amount used, product pH, packaging and protection from heat, light and oxygen. The presence of ascorbic acid in an INCI list alone cannot establish the strength of a finished product.
How do the peptides support visible glow?
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is commonly used in formulas developed to soften the look of expression-related lines, while Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9 supports smoother, firmer-looking skin. No antioxidant or brightening complex replaces daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. Sensitive skin may tolerate the technology in an appropriately formulated product, but ascorbic acid and other formula components can sometimes sting compromised skin. Patch-test first, introduce it gradually and follow the finished product’s directions.
