elvis+elvin Hyaluronic Setting Powder with Fullerene

This comes in a nice outer product box. The jar is plastic with a twist off lid. Inside there’s a nice powder puff and my FAVORITE parts - another lid that covers the powder so it doesn’t spill into the lid when not in use AND a mesh sifter over the powder that will control the amount of powder that comes out. Just press your brush down into the mesh and it’ll pick up just the right amount of powder. I love mesh sifters, and not a lot of brands use them. So I was excited to see one with this powder!The product page title is a little confusing/misleading. I don’t really want to say misleading, more just can be confusing to people. It says “Color Correcting Setting Powder.” BUT, that is only the case if you get it in one of the color correcting shades like Coral, Green, Lavender, Rose, or Yellow. If you get it in Translucent, Radiance, Light, Medium, Medium Dark, or Dark it is just going to be a REGULAR setting powder. Translucent will be translucent, Radiance will provide a glow (I’m guessing), and the ones with skin tones like Light, Medium, Medium Dark, or Dark should provide slight coverage like any skin toned setting powder. So, I think having “Color Correcting Setting Powder” as the title can be a little confusing. I got “Translucent” and didn’t expect it to give any color correction since it’s translucent. But, I can definitely see how people would get the wrong idea with the title, so I wanted to make that clear! 😊The powder is very finely milled. It has a soft, velvety feel to it. It does go on a little white, even on my very fair skin. But, as I pressed it into my skin, it just seemed to melt right in and disappear. Given it said it was mattifying, I was a little worried it would be too drying for me. I have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side with some extremely dry areas. So I’m extremely picky when it comes to powders! I try to stay away from using them, especially matte ones. But, there’s times I need to use them and I’ve found some that work well for me, and am always open to trying new ones! This one does reduce shine on the skin. I used a dewy foundation and it was looking a little too dewy and I wanted to tone it down. I applied this and it reduced that without making it look dry or powdery at all. It is so lightweight it looks and feels like nothing on. It sets the makeup in place and just disappears into the skin. Yet, it still holds up all day! I work 12+ hour shifts and run around sweating for most of it, so about halfway through I end up getting sweaty on my face especially on my forehead and t-zone. Depending on the foundation, it can sometimes start to breakup too. NOT with this! When I used this powder, I didn’t get oil coming through at all! No foundation breaking up! It looked great the entire time! No matter what foundation I used it with! I found a powder that I will definitely always keep around and use!
