LEUNG'S CHA · TEA LIFE

Leung's Cha Brewing Guide

Simple methods for a cup that fits your day.

BREW WITH CONFIDENCE

Good tea starts with attention, not perfection.

Use these guides as a starting point, then adjust leaf, time, and temperature to suit your taste and the instructions on your tea package.
01 · HOT BREW

Warm, aromatic, and unhurried

Begin with fresh water. Follow the package directions for the amount of tea, water temperature, and steeping time. Delicate green and white teas usually prefer cooler water; herbal, rooibos, and roasted blends often welcome hotter water.

  1. Warm your cup or pot with hot water.
  2. Add the recommended tea amount.
  3. Pour water at the suggested temperature.
  4. Steep, taste, and remove the tea when the flavor feels balanced.
02 · COLD BREW

Smooth tea, made ahead

Cold brewing creates a gentle, refreshing cup. Place the recommended tea amount in cold drinking water, cover, and refrigerate. Taste after several hours and strain when the flavor is right for you.

  1. Use a clean covered bottle or pitcher.
  2. Refrigerate throughout the infusion.
  3. Strain and enjoy chilled.
  4. Prepare a fresh batch rather than repeatedly topping up old leaves.

WATER TEMPERATURE GUIDE

The right heat for every tea

Water that is too hot can overwhelm delicate leaves; water that is too cool may leave robust teas tasting flat. Start with these ranges, then follow the package directions when they differ.
